We are seeking candidates that are highly motivated, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while practicing safety, a positive attitude, excellent follow through skills and great verbal and written communication. The Inventory Supply Specialist will be responsible for material call off/PO creation for specified materials to support finished goods production plans, minimize obsolescence and provide overall cost containment. Liaison between company, the finance department, and vendors.

Participate in material planning meetings with suppliers, ensuring all material plans are adequate from DOS and obsolescence targets in the long and short term
Execute packaging run out plans to support material planners with focus on minimizing obsolescence with zero impact to production schedules, warehousing strategies and analysis.
Participate in weekly supply planning team meetings with counterparts in materials, finished good planning, and deployment to deliver key KPIs - service, DOS, L&D, forecast accuracy, material SS, obsolescence minimization and sourcing optimization
Cost saving initiatives through special projects
Project management on special cost savings projects
Establish and adhere to certain purchasing guidelines based on the strategies and goals outlined by the company and finance department
Responsibility to ensure adequate materials are on site to support production schedules. Confirms production orders completed/closed & final verification of high losses for accounting purpose
Conduct regular consistent reviews in conjunction with material planner of all parameters and update based on new criteria
Material forecasting
Assist with tracking and reporting of key KPIs - obsolescence, supplier inventory levels, DIO, service
Manage blocked AP invoices for R & P
Continuous improvement to assist excellence within the Supply Chain
Promotes a positive team atmosphere and champions involvement of all employees
Complies with all safety regulations to help ensure a safe working environment, while assisting department
Helps to establish and adheres to strict purchasing guidelines
Excellent vendor relationships and communication
Detailed oriented, analytical, organized and objective

BA in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or related degree preferred
Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing, warehouse management systems (dairy, chemistry, food, and pharmacy)
Demonstrated understanding of SC processes and safety stock optimization strategies
SAP/APO knowledge a plus
APICS Certification
